HONORARIA

The CAA recommends that all projects, regardless of client type or size, have an appropriate honorarium for any professional design consulting services required explicitly or implicitly as part of the procurement process (e.g. within a Request for Proposal). Through the honoraria, design teams need to recover their payroll costs plus their overhead (salary plus additional payroll costs) plus have a bonus to compensate for the balance of fee put at risk through Design-Build and P3 pursuits.
